Ida's was recommended to us with the declaration that they had great apple fritters. Now apple fritters aren't really my jam, but when someone tells me a place has the best of something, I like to try it.

It's a nice deli with the home made feel! The soups are good we had split ham and P and I had cream of broccoli The sandwiches my husband light and I had a sausage roll which was just OK it was friendly service but options were limited you can eat in or take out located in Lumby B.C which is a small town

Two words. Apple fritter!!! Don't just buy one. Get 2. For that midnight snack to share. They are that big.
The fresh bread and croissants are great too!
Ohh and the cheese buns! Fantastic!!

Didn't actually get anything to eat from here, we got there late in the day and they were sold out of everything we wanted. Have to say though that another posters review of customer service was bang on, it REALLY sucks. No one created us when we went in, no one said can I help you with anything. We were completely ignored and when we asked for what we were looking for we were given the stink eye, and treated to a really rude "No" and that was it.
They really need to work on customer service. -

I've lived in Vernon for over a decade and I had no place this was here. The Bakery itself doesn't really stand out from the street and the inside could use a refresh but so could the whole town of Lumby so keep that in perspective.
The bakery itself is awesome, the apple fritters are a must, it's what they are known for but they have a huge selection of everything. It will be hard to make a decision trust me. The staff is friendly and you can grab lunch and sit down.
